1. 🎧LISTEN: Huberman Lab “The Science of Slowing Aging”

Not a book person? That’s what podcasts are for! Because nothing says “I’ve got my life together” like learning about mitocondrias while doing the dishes.

This podcast episode features the author of the book we recommend below (Dr. David Sinclair), and it’s basically a longevity masterclass. Dr. Huberman dives into everything from boosting mitochondrial health and NAD+, to intermittent fasting and how stress messes with your lifespan.

Perfect for your next walk, drive to work, or fake commute. 🎧https://youtu.be/n9IxomBusuw

2. 💔FACTS NOT FEELINGS:

The link between sleep and aging is stronger than you and your ex ever were.

HERE ARE THE FACTS:

  • Only 12% of adults in the U.S. are metabolically healthy (National Health & Nutrition Examination Survey, 2019).

  • People who consistently sleep under 6 hours per night have a 20% higher risk of early death compared to those who sleep 7–8 hours. (READ THAT AGAIN) Sleep Foundation, European Heart Journal (2011)

  • Lifespan ≠ Healthspan: The average American lives to 76… but spends over 15 of those years in poor health

Now that’s a relationship worth committing to. Forget texting your ex, getting 8 hours of sleep does more for your glow up.

3. 💊PRODUCT TO TRY: Timeline Nutrition

Meet the company taking longevity science out of the lab and into your kitchen. With over 15 years of clinical research and trials, this Swiss Health team has cracked the code to restore your cells to stay young, energized and ready for whatever craziness life throws at you.

The secret behind their products is Urothlin A (mitopure) a post-biotic that improves mitocondria function, which is key to prevent slowing age-related decline.

4. 📖 READ: “Lifespan” By Dr. David Sinclair

If you think aging is inevitable, think again. This book, written by Harvard geneticist Dr. David Sinclair, flips the script on aging and makes a great case for why it might just be a disease we can treat.

“Lifespan: Why we Age and Why We Don’t Have To”

Not a reader? We got you.

KEY IDEAS TO TAKEAWAY:

  1. Aging is a Disease: Making the argument that aging should be treated like a disease, not a natural untouchable process. Aging causes other diseases like Cancer, Alzheimers and Heart disease, so why not cancel out the root cause?

  2. Your Cells are the MVP!!: Your body is a battlefield and your cells are tiny soldiers. NAD+ boosters like NMN and resveratrol act like reinforcements… fueling the proteins (sirtuins) that keep your cells young, sharp, and ready to fight aging.

  3. Your lifestyle = longevity hack: We could not agree more. Lifestyle and longevity go together.Treat your body like trash, and your future self’s gonna feel it.

What’s up with Research?

6. 📝STUDY THIS: Current Medical Study

Yes, I know the image looks complicated… (I had a very a hard time understanding too) but game changer’s usually aren’t simple. So here is a breakdown! ⤵️

A showcase of the first medical paper to show how Urolithin A (the same ingredient found in Timeline Products) can kickstart a process called mitophagy (when your cells take out the trash and swap out their old batteries- mitocondrias- for new ones) The result? Increased muscle function and a longer lifespan… at least in preclinical trials.

That’s everything for now! Thanks for hanging out with Inside Health this week. Understanding how you function starts with education, and you’re already doing the work just by being here.

Until next time, keep asking questions, stay curious, and don’t stop Inside Health-ing your way to a smarter, stronger you.
